On Wednesday, August 8, 2001, at the Adrienne Theatre (2030 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA), Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts will stage the first in a series of business seminars for artists. This event will focus on rights, responsibilities and relationships for the visual artist, including gallery agreements, leasing spce, professional presentation, copyright protection, trademarks, comission agreements, working with business professionals, intellectual property concerns and the interent, small business formation, and more.
Local Philadelphia artist Tom Judd will be the keynote speaker for this event. He will discuss his life experiences as an artist and how his busness decisions have impacted his career.
Additional faculty for this program will include prominent Philadelphia attorneys and other business professionals.
Tickets for this event are $16, $10 for students. Space is limited. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
