The Chronicle's Syllabus column profiles courses whose methods or subject matter are especially unusual, innovative, or interesting.
In the past few months, we've showcased courses on "The Hidden Art of the Holocaust," an engineering course on "Catastrophic Failure," and a class about the connections between mathematics and poetry. (See an archive of Syllabus columns at http://www.chronicle.com/teaching/syllabus.htm)
