This is the largest congress held devoted to the evolving North American Community.Presenters come from all over Latin America, the United States, Canada, from Europe, and Asia.

There are important panels on a whole range of economic, political, social, and cutlural topics. Therefore, this congress is a multidisciplinary meeting which considers North America in all its aspects.

The Congress of the Americas warmly welcomes different modes of presentation. We will be glad to help those who wish with panels or individually to use an on-line format and place papers on the Net before the meeting, so more time can be used for discussion and less for formal presentation.

In all cases we ask you to think; moreover, respond to the idea of an emerging North America Community; a culture in the making with all the implications that has for politics, the economy, and personal identity.
