The second volume of "Historein: A Review of the Past & Other Stories" has been published and is now available.
The volume is devoted to the theme “Heterodoxies: Construction of Identities and Otherness in medieval and early modern Europe.” This has been the topic of a seminar in honor of Natalie Zemon Davis, held in Hermoupolis (Syros, Greece) on July 20-21, 1998.
The volume brings together medieval, early modern and modern historians from Greece, USA, Britain, France and Italy, and explores the question of the construction of identities in the domains of society, ethnicity, religion, cultural contacts, exchanges and representations, spanning a period starting from the 8th century and ending in the 19th century.
