April 27-28, 2002: Symposium on Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton and the American Revolution in the South, and related topics. To be held in Camden, SC. Tentative speakers include Professors Larry Babits (ECU), Gregory Urwin (Temple), and Robert Olwell (Texas), and others. Co-sponsored by the Kershaw Co. Historical Society. Programs to be held at several historic sites/buildings in Camden and will include a battlefield tour of area Revolutionary War sites.
