Heritage of the Great Plains--Lewis and Clark Bicentenntial special issue
Call for Papers Deadline:
In conjunction with the bicentennial of the Lewis & Clark Expedition (2003-2006) the Center for Great Plains Studies at Emporia State University plans a theme edition of Heritage of the Great Plains. We invite submission of papers on the topic "Lewis and Clark on the Great Plains" from a variety of academic areas, including but not limited to: biology, geology, geography, English, history, sociology, anthropology, astronomy, meteorology, art. Target date for publication is 2004. Deadline for submission of articles is May 1, 2003. All articles submitted will go through the usual review process for a refereed journal.
Although the deadline is May 1, 2003, we would appreciate a brief description of your proposed article by December 31, 2001 so that we can begin planning for the publication.
