Brief (one page) proposals are invited on all aspects of the life of Eric Williams, including his scholarhip, ideas, and his tenure as Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, for a conference to be held February 15-16, 2002, at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Proposals are also invited on more general issues such as the struggle against colonialism and the construction of a Caribbean identity, with special reference to the roles that Williams played. Deadline for the submission of proposals is July 31, 2001. Proposals should be sent to the address below.
