Papers
We are interested in receiving papers on the roles of Non-profit Organizations in urban settings. The papers are expected to focus on the issues and strategies pertaining to activities of non-profit organizations in the areas such as community development, housing, employment creation, human rights, environment, economic development, arts and culture, voluntarism, health care and education. Sustainable development in urban settings should be the unifying theme in all papers. Contributions addressing the pedagogy of the role of non-profits in sustainable development are encouraged. The papers will be presented in full-length followed commentary by a panel. You may present your paper as a panel. However, each panel should not be more than three presenters. The proceedings of the seminar will be published in the form of an anthology. The final paper should be no more than 7000 words. The deadline for the paper proposals is 30th August. Please send the two-page (500 words) proposal/abstract, name of the author, institutional affiliation, phone, fax, and email to Dr. Jude L. Participation
Those who wish to participate at the conference should send their name, postal and email addresses, phone and fax numbers, and institutional affiliation by 30th August. Please indicate if you wish to be a discussant for a paper. The registration fee for the conference is US $ 160. This fee includes meals during conference days and conference material. The participants are responsible for accommodation. The checks should be made to "AIC, University of Arizona." Please send the registration information and registration fee to the above address by the 30th August. The conference will be held in Tucson, Arizona. Further details regarding accommodation, registration information, conference site, program and transportation will be will be notified by mail and in the web page currently under construction.
