The Department of History and the History Graduate Student Organization, University at Albany, SUNY, welcome proposals for papers, panels, workshops, roundtables, and exhibits on any aspect of New York history for the 3rd Annual Researching New York Conference. The Conference will be held at the University at Albany - SUNY on November 16, 2001. Ours is a diverse conference that brings together researchers, archivists, librarians, public historians, museum curators, web site creators, and documentarians. As in previous years, the conference will emphasize the integral relations between researchers and archival resources.
Proposals are due by July 15, 2001. Full panel proposals (including Chair/Commentator(s) are encouraged. Partial panels and individual submissions are welcome. For panels and partial panels, please submit a one page abstract of the complete package, a one page abstract of each paper or presentation, and a one page curriculum vita for each presenter. For individual submissions please submit a one page abstract and a one-page curriculum vita. All submissions must include names, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses. We prefer electronic submission to history@albany.edu or you can mail your proposal to address below.
