The Bakhtin, Vygotsky, Composition, and Rhetoric Special Interest Group of the Conference on College Composition and Communication invites one-paragraph abstracts of works in progress on Mikhail M. Bakhtin or L. S. Vygotsky. The Program Committee especially encourages submissions by graduate students and recent graduates. Papers may address any of a variety of issues, including but not limited to issues of gender, ethnicity, culture, pedagogy, and/or the new communication technologies. Please send abstracts via email to Jim Zappen at zappenj@rpi.edu no later than June 1, 2001.
Participation in the SIG does not count as a speaking role on the CCCC program and therefore does not preclude appearance on the CCCC program in another speaking role. (See the CCCC Call for Program Proposals, Page 2, Col. 3, No Multiple Submissions.)
Acceptance of papers is contingent upon acceptance of the SIG proposal by the CCCC.
Program Committee: Frank Farmer, University of Kansas; Kay Halasek, Ohio State University; and Jim Zappen, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
