Arcadia Publishing, America's leading publisher of local and regional pictorial histories, is currently seeking historians and historical groups who are interested in publishing a pictorial history of their area. We are a traditional publishing house, absorbing all costs of the publishing process. We do not require sponsorship or pre-sale by the author. We have an extensive program in the Northeast, South, Midwest, and most recently the West, and have over 1,200 titles in our national library. If you are a member of a museum, historical society, or preservation group that has been looking for a fund-raising promotion that is educational and lucrative, as well as fostering community nostalgia, please review our website and contact the appropriate regional office. We are currently looking for projects for our 2001 program and beyond, and would be delighted to discuss any ideas you have for local history titles.
