The Borderlands Conference is co-hosted by the Network to Freedom Program of the National Park Service, the Freedom Station Program of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and the Institute for Freedom Studies at Northern Kentucky University and is scheduled for May 18 and 19, 2001. This conference will provide an opportunity for local researchers and the preservation and academic communities to engage in dialogue and team-building efforts, while sharing information on the Underground Railroad and fugitive slaves. To that end, the conference has been organized to collate data on a regional scale, to share research designs and results, and to form research teams as co-presenters at the conference. Individual presentations are also welcome. For registration information please contact The Institute for Freedom Studies web site @ http://www.nku.edu/~freedom
