"Shell Games" will bring together 24 speakers from Canada, the USA, Britain, France and Spain to explore the practice of deception in Early Modern Europe at Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies in the University of Toronto.
28-29 April 2001
The presentations are arranged thematically into 8 sessions and examine deceit in law, entertainment, print, alterity, the court, science, historiography and strategies of imposture.
Registration for both days is $30 (CND)/ $22 (USD) or $20 (CND) / $15 (USD) for students and the unwaged.
