This two-day conference will focus on conflict resolution as a window into the workings of power in the Middle Ages. Ansgar Kelly (UCLA); Philippe Buc (Stanford University); Geoffrey Koziol (UC Berkeley); Jesse Byock (UCLA); D. Roderick Kiewiet (Caltech); Fredric Cheyette (Amherst College); Patrick Geary (UCLA); and Thomas Bisson (Harvard University). The conference organizers are Piotr Gorecki (UC Riverside) and Warren Brown (Caltech).
