ACSUS '01 San Antonio

ACSUS welcomes proposals for papers, roundtables,
workshops, poster exhibits, and plenary sessions at the
16th Biennial Meeting to be held at the Hyatt Regency
Riverwalk, in San Antonio, Texas, November 14-18, 2001.
The ACSUS Biennial Conference is a multi-disciplinary,
interdisciplinary event, attracting scholars of Canada in
the social sciences and humanities. Disciplines
represented include (but are not limited to) anthropology,
arts (visual and performing), business, communications,
culture studies, defence studies, economics, education,
environment and natural resources, film, geography,
history, international relations, journalism, law, legal
studies, literature in English, literature in French, music,
northern studies, philosophy, politics and political
science, public policy, religion, sociology, theatre, urban
affairs and women's studies. Submissions must have a
Canadian focus, even if on a comparative subject.
Particular emphasis will be given to themes embracing
Canadian-Mexican connections, including the triadic
relationship exemplified by NAFTA.
