The Beirut Institute for Media Arts and the Lebanese American University are organizing for November 5-9, 2001 a conference centering on "Arab Stereotyping." The objective of the conference is to bring forward research on stereotyping in general, and Arab stereotyping in particular. The conference is interested in how groups are stereotyped and how they sterotype others. Open to mass communication and social sciences academicians, the conference will also invite keynote speakers from around the world who have contributed to the debate on stereotyping.
