This workshop will feature presentations by political geographers and
political scientists who use spatial analytic techniques and frameworks for studying political processes.

The Center for Spatially Integrated Social Sciences (CSISS) will make
available a limited number of travel support awards for graduate students to attend the workshop. Travel on US carriers and local expenses will be reimbursed. Up to twelve awards (approximately $650 each) will be granted on a competitive basis. Graduate and Post-Doctoral Students in Political Science and Geography who wish to attend may apply by submitting a one page summary vita and a brief letter of interest which focuses on their potential use of spatial analysis. We are primarily interested in students who are
interested in learning more about these approaches, rather than students who already have extensive backgrounds in these areas.
