LOS ANGELES WELCOMES OAH FOR 2001 ANNUAL MEETING

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—2,500 panelists, teachers, exhibitors, and interested participants are expected to attend the 94th Annual Meeting of the Organization of American Historians in Los Angeles, California, 26-29 April 2001.

A session on writing biography including Blanche Wiesen Cook, David Levering Lewis, and Donald Worster

Sunday morning "Chat Rooms" that allow less formal discussions between meeting participants on any topic they choose
Five Thursday evening Regional Receptions hosted by OAH Executive Board members that encourage contacts among colleagues in their geographic area
More Focus on Teaching sessions than ever before for history educators, including an AP American History Breakfast and professional development certificates available to teachers who want to receive continuing education credits
