'War in History' takes it as a guiding premise that military history should be integrated into a broader definition of history. Recognizing that the study of war is more than simply the study of conflict, the journal embraces war in all its aspects: economic, social and political as much as purely military. Articles include the study of navies, maritime power and air forces, as well as military matters more narrowly defined.
