XCP: Cross Cultural Poetics ethnography, poetry, and the documentary experience...
invites all to contribute to the upcoming
streetnotes
spring 2001
Tell us about your encounter with the documentary experience.
XCP Website (http://bfn.org/~xcp) is collecting STREETNOTES for its SPRING 2001 Exhibition. We are looking for ethnographic essays, photography, poetry and other projects which explore the dynamics of the street as an interactive zone. STREETNOTES aims to exhibit experimental forms of documentation and social description.
The art of documentation, documentation as art, descriptive sketches, street works and notebooks, both written and visual are encouraged.
XCP: Cross Cultural Poetics Website is building a freely accessible international digital archive of photography, stories, poetry, interviews, and ethnographic documentation. Xcp Website is a non profit educational organization.
Exhibitions of STREETNOTES are published on the internet (biannually since 1998). Past exhibits are saved and made accessible.
We envision a populist ethnography, that contains both traditional, contemporary, and experimental displays.
