The Canadian Letters and Images Project is an online archive of the Canadian war experience as told through the letters and images of Canadians themselves. The objective of the project is to let Canadians tell their own story in their own words and images by creating a permanent online archive of personal materials both from the homefront and from the battlefront. Begun in the summer of 2000, the project is an ongoing effort run under the auspices of the History Department at Malaspina University College. Please have a look at the project website which explains further the objectives of the project and how to contribute. Some collections are currently online and we have at this point another approximately 1,000 letters being processed, which we hope to have online in the near future.
