Authors are invited to submit papers that demonstrate original unpublished research in all areas of Japanese Studies for the JSAA Biennial Conference, 2001. Papers may be presented in either English or Japanese, and an abstract of 500-700 English words or 1000-1500 Japanese characters is to be submitted by 1/31/01
All abstracts must include the underpinning theory behind the paper, research methodology, findings/conclusion and discussion of its significance to the field. Authors will receive feedback from the committee and may be asked to re-submit.
Abstracts should conform to the following requirements:
500 -700 English words or 1000-1500 Japanese characters.
I) Statement of the research question.
II) Discussion of theory behind the paper.
III) Description of research methodology.
III) Discussion of findings/conclusion
IV) Significance to the field of Japanese Studies.
- Double-spaced; 2.5 cm margins; Title (centre top);
- Provide 3 copies of abstract with Title but without presenters' names.
- Provide a separate cover sheet with: Contact Person's details, Title of Paper, a 50 word Summaryof the Paper, and Biographical information of Presenter(s) (25 words each).
- Disk or E-mail attachment submissions should be saved in MSWord for Mac or in a Rich Text Format (RTF).
