Ninth Annual Graduate Research Conference in African Studies

The graduate students of the Boston University African Studies Center are pleased to announce the Ninth Annual Graduate Research Conference in African Studies, to be held March 23-24, 2001.
This is an interdisciplinary conference intended for students at all levels of their graduate careers. In past years participants have presented research proposals, thesis chapters, methodological papers, or simply outlines of dissertation proposals in an informal and friendly setting.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is February 9, 2001. Abstracts can be mailed to the Graduate Research Conference at the address above, or submitted via the conference web site at http://www.bu.edu/afr/gradconf/ . Abstracts submitted by mail should include the author's name, address, institutional affiliation, e-mail address and phone number.
There is a $10 conference fee, payable by check to the Boston University African Studies Center, which should be mailed to the address above.
