The University Libraries at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is pleased to announce a conference, American Folklore and the Legacy of Benjamin A. Botkin, honoring the noted folklorist, Benjamin A. Botkin (1901-1975). The conference will take place on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on February 1-3, 2001. The Libraries has chosen to honor the centenary of Botkin's birth with a conference that will explore the impact of his work as a noted figure in American folklore.
Major funding for the conference has been provided by the Nebraska Humanities Council, with additional funding from the University of Nebraska Press and the Friends of the Libraries, UNL.
