The programming Committee and Department of Educational Leadership of Miami University are pleased to announce the First Annual Ohio Doctoral Student and Faculty Conference: Leadership, Culture, and Schooling. This conference is a multi-disciplinary forum for graduate students to present their research and scholarship in the leadership, culture, and schooling arena. We are announcing a Call for Presentations for this inaugural meeting. The conference is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 3, 2001 in the historic William Holmes McGuffey Hall located oon the Oxford Campus of Miami University.
We invite submissions on any topic that engages the concepts of leadership, culture, and schooling. We welcome papers, that grow out of a variety of disciplines, and that engage equally diverse methodologies. We also welcome panel submissions, which should include three papers united by a common theme or focus. We are encouraging "round table" formats to create synergistic dialogues among conference participants.
Please send 5 copies of an abstract of 200-300 words, title, keyword or topic, and preferred format along with a one-page curriculum vita to the conference coordinator. Submissions may be submitted via email (N4daride@hotmail.com). Participants will be notified no later than January 20, 2001. You may also visit our website for additional information. A $20.00 registration fee will be assessed to all conference participants to cover the cost of meals and conference materials.
