This is a historical novel concerning the doomed love affair of Rosa, a Hungarian girl, with Crown Prince Rudolph of Habsburg. Heavily researched, the tragic end of Crown Prince Rudolph (he committed suicide in January 1889) could have been influenced by such a romance.
