The Programming Committee for the Second Annual Graduate Symposium on Women's and Gender History, a multi-disciplinary conference at the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, announces a Call for Papers. The Symposium, which is intended as a capstone event for the activities on campus in celebration of Women's History Month, is scheduled for March 22-24, 2001. We invite submissions on any topic in women's or gender history. We welcome papers on any historical subject that might grow out of a variety of disciplines and engage an equal diversity of methodologies. We also welcome panel submissions, which should include three papers united by a common theme or geographical/chronological focus.
Please send 5 copies of an abstract of 200 words, together with a one-page curriculum vitae, to the Programming Committee mailbox at the address below by Monday, December 4, 2000. We regret that we cannot accept any submissions over e-mail. For more information about the symposium, please visit our website or contact Kerry Wynn at wynn@uiuc.edu. If you are interested in being a chair or a commentator, you may contact Dawn Flood at flood@uiuc.edu.
