ME Sharpe, a publisher of academic and reference titles, is publishing the Encyclopedia of American Immigration, a four-volume work covering immigrant history, issues, and groups, to be published in mid-2001.
We are looking scholars--both PhDs and graduates--to write one or more of the following entries for the encyclopedia. (The number in parentheses after the entry name indicates the word count of the article: 1,000 words equals roughly 3 manuscript pages; 2,000 is 6 pages; 3,000 is 10 pages).

GROUP ENTRIES
Immigrants and Immigration from the Former Soviet Union
We are paying $75 for 1,000 word entries; $150 for 2,000; and $250 for 3,000. The deadline is two months from receiving assignment. We are also paying a $100 bonus to anyone who can submit an entry within one month of receiving the assignment. (The above-list represents entries that were previously assigned, but not turned in. Thus, we are under a tight deadline.)

Include your name, address, academic/research institution affiliation, phone number, and a brief (2-3 page) sample of your writing (it does not have to be published material.) We will then get back to you with the specifics of the assignment and a contract. PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE UNLESS YOU CAN FINISH THE ENTRY WITHIN 30 TO 60 DAYS.
