We invite papers on the following topics:
Comparisons between the older and younger generations of English playwrights
Contrastive analyses of styles, techniques and fashions in theatre
Modern re-workings of traditional genres and subjects
Diverse attitudes to the function of theatre in modern society
Given the clash of traditions, where is drama to move in the 21. century?

Abstracts
If you propose to give a paper, please send an abstract of about 200 words, accompanied by a biographical sketch to the local organiser (see below). The abstract should reach us not later than 28 November 2000. Presentations at the conference must not be more than 20 minutes in length. The conference language is English. A selection of papers given to this conference will be published in CDE, vol. 10.
