11 to 19 November 2000, Havana, Cuba
The workshop will be held at the Women's Studies Center
of the Cuban Federation of Women, Havana, Cuba, from
November 15 to November 17, 2000. The sponsoring
institutions have developed an educational program to be
held in conjunction with the program from November 11
through November 14 as well as a post-workshop event to
be held on November 18.
Themes of the symposium:
1) Women's chairs, centers and programs: Experiences,
development and perspectives;
2) Methodological orientations emerging in women's
centers and programs;
3) The participation of women as objects and subjects of
development; and
4) Problems confronting women, gender and family in the
new century.
The price is $940 (double room) and $1130 (U.S. dollars)
(single room). The price includes registration and
program fees for all the activities; lodging for 8 nights with
breakfast included; transportation to all activities;
services of guide; services of translator; and services of
teachers in the educational program. The fee does not
include air travel to and from Havana as well as dinner
and most lunches.
