The Graduate Programs in International Studies (GPIS) and Center for Regional and Global Study (CRGS) at Old Dominion University will host its annual Graduate Research Conference in Norfolk, Virginia on February 16-17, 2001. The program committee invites proposals addressing the following interdisciplinary themes: culture and area studies, globalization and trade, conflict and cooperation, environment and development, transnational issues, technology and sustainable development, and communication in a global environment.
The conference committee welcomes both individual paper proposals and proposals for entire panels. The deadline for submission of all proposals is December 18, 2000. Abstracts should be no more than 300 words and include name, institutional affiliation, email and postal addresses, and telephone number. Email all abstracts to the following address (gradconference@odu.edu). Panel assignments will be announced in January 2001.
