2001 marks the sesquicentenary of the Great Exhibition of 1851 and the the centenary of the death of Queen Victoria. This major international conference uses this occasion to re-interpret the culture of the Victorian period.
The three day conference will have 21 themes, a number of distinguished plenary speakers and academic displays. It will be hosted by the Science Museum, London in close association with the Victoria and
Albert and Natural History Museums.
