This conference is designed to further conversations begun at previous
conferences among historians of science, medicine, and technology.
Together we can promote greater interchange among a variety of
disciplines while recognizing the uniqueness of each.
PLENARY SESSION ONE
"Power and Expertise"
This plenary session is designed to explore the dynamics between history
and practice. Each of the disciplines will be represented by a
practitioner and an historian.

PLENARY SESSION TWO
"Shaping the Future of History"
The focus of this session will be on the projected role of gender in
future scholarship and will be conducted in a roundtable format with
general introductory comments. Participants will then have the
opportunity to discuss the various themes within smaller groups.
