The Folklore area solicits papers from graduate students, professors, folklorists, writers and other afficionados of all things folklore. Also welcome are proposals for slide shows, video presentations, musical presentations, and dramatic presentations.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

- Legends
- Songs
- Ballads and corridos
- Festivals
- Proverbs, riddles, rhymes, and folk poetry

- Tales of: saints, heroes, villians, martyrs, etc.

- Folk speech and naming
- Folk drama and dance
- Folk narratives
- Folk customs and festivals
- Folk potpourri
