Prometheus Books (Amherst, NY), with over thirty years' experience publishing books of quality, is pleased to announce a new scholarly imprint, Humanity Books. This imprint, which includes backlist titles acquired from Humanities Press International, is currently soliciting proposals and manuscripts in the areas of gay and lesbian studies, the holocaust, religious dissent, atheism, African-American studies, women's history, and American studies. However, all proposals that demonstrate a fresh approach to an area of traditional historical research or that strike out in a new direction will be considered. Humanity Books is committed to publishing a wide range of fine scholarly studies that appeal to scholars, students, and the broader public.
