The panels I would like to create for the Poetry Area of the Popular Culture Association Conference to be held in Philadelphia in at the Marriott Hotel, Market Street, April 11-14, include two types of panels:
1. --Your own creative writing poetry to be presented in a 15 minute reading that may include questions and answers but does not have to do so. Please submit eight sample poems along with your letter.
2. --Your scholarship on popular poetry may be presented in a paper and question and answer portions should be included in this 15-20 minute presentation. I will need a one-to-two page abstract of a paper on poetry/ poets that had or have popular appeal along with your letter.
I need these by Sept. 18, 2000 because I will have to meet the deadline of October 1, 2000 to report back to the conference. Remember that PCAACA wants each participant to adhere to the rule of one presentation per person. Thank you.
