Southern Connecticut State University is proud to announce its 10th Annual Women's Studies Conference:
"Women of African Descent:Reaching Across the Diaspora"
This conference which brings together scholars, writers, artists and cultural workers focusing on African, African American, and Afro-Caribbean women will be held at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, 2000.

Also featuring a soulful Saturday night performance by the musical group JUCA which includes Judith Casselberry, Lovejoy & Debra Kenya McGee. Recent SCSU Women's Studies events have included Nobel Laureate Rigoberta Menchu, Nell Painter, and Anita Hill. This conference promises to promote and environment ripe for dynamic discussion and exchange.
