She will be discussing changes in the position of women in
Norway in the twentieth century in a comparative context
within Scandinavia.
Gail Lewis, Open University
"Gender Difference, 'Racial' Difference and Social Policy:
Lessons from History."
The conference will offer opportunities to network with
women's historians from Britain and will attract visitors
from other countries. It also offers delegates the chance
to visit Bath, an exceptionally well preserved Georgian
city (classed as world heritage site) with many historical
and cultural attractions.
