We are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of City Sites: an Electronic Book. City Sites is an inter- and multi-disciplinary study of the iconography, spatial forms and visual and literary cultures of New York and Chicago in the period 1870 to 1939. City Sites is the result of collaborative research by scholars from Europe and the U.S.A and presents a pioneering approach to American urbanism utilising analytical possibilities offered by new multimedia technologies.
City Sites is part of the 3 Cities research project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Board, and is based at the University of Birmingham and the University of Nottingham in the UK.
