The Journal of Family History welcomes submissions for a special issue on the theme of "The Military and the Family." Submissions may explore any aspect of the relationship of war, military activity/participation, culture and/or bureaucracy to the family. Submissions from scholars working on the History of the Family and/or Military History, either of Europe or North America, will be welcome.
Please send a 250-word abstract and a brief biographical statement to Clare Dale at the address and email below no later than 15 August 2000. Those chosen for inclusion in the special issue will be notified no later than 31 October 2000. Drafts of selected papers will be due 1 February 2001.
