Barnard Feminist Art and Art History Conference
October 28-29, 2000
Barnard College, New York City
Individual papers, complete panels, and collaborative workshops will be presented by artists, professionals and students on gender issues in
any aspect of visual culture (painting, sculpture, prints,
architecture, history, design, film, video, websites, photography,
etc.).
In addition, panels will address the intersection of gender, commerce, and visual culture. For example, these might investigate gender in relation to issues such as patronage, advertising, consumption, the art market, commercial space, or
any other issues involving commerce.
