CHORD (the Committee for the History of Retailing and Distribution) invites all scholars interested in the history of retailing/distribution - whatever their discipline, methodological approach or period of interest - to a two-day Conference on "Petty Traders and Captains of Commerce: Retailing and Distribution, 1500-2000."
Speakers will include John Benson, John Chartres, Geoffrey Crossick, Martin Purvis, Kazuo Usui and Mike Winstanley.
The Conference will take place at the University of Wolverhampton (UK) on 14 and 15 September 2000.
