The International Third World Legal Studies Association and the
Community Peace Program, School of Government, University of the
Western Cape invite you to a conference entitled:
Into the 21st Century: Reconstruction and Reparations
Cape Town, South Africa January 4-6, 2001
The conference will take place at the Cullinan Inn, which is
situated at the Waterfront, at the edge of Cape Town and close
to all amenities. The weather in Cape Town in January is
splendid!
The purpose of the conference is to gather together law
teachers, teachers of government, legal practitioners and policy
makers to discuss developments in international and local laws
and policies around the theme of Reconstruction and
Reconciliation.
Papers will address themes that focus on the economic, political
and cultural dimensions of Reconstruction and Reparations. The
conference fee is $135 which will cover the welcoming reception,
lunches and morning and afternoon tea. The room rate at the
Cullinan Inn is $100 per night. The proceedings of the
conference will be published as the 2001 volume of Third World
Legal Studies.
