Information is currently being collected for an updated edition of the
Directory of American Scholars. First published in 1942 under the
auspices of the American Council of Learned Societies, the Directory of
American Scholars, now published by the Gale Group, profiles more than
24,000 United States and Canadian scholars, currently active in
teaching, research, and publishing. If you are an humanities or social
sciences scholar (doctoral degree or equivalent; active in scholarly
work; publishing scholarly works) and are interested in being listed,
please send in your questionnaire, EVEN if your deadline has passed.
Those who have been listed before will receive a copy of their entry, so they may make any updates as necessary. Please return the revision form, even if no changes are necessary, so the editors can verify you
have seen it.
