The Guadalajara Censuses Project (GCP) is presently constructing a website. The GCP is an international, cooperative effort to broaden public access to a special set of population censuses for Guadalajara, Mexico. The censuses range from the 1792 "military" census to the census of 1930. The GCP website currently is constructing the background materials for the censuses of 1821 and 1822, which form the first phase of the project. When completed the site will be bilingual, and will not only offer background material on the censuses of 1821 and 1822 (including a history of the city prior to that time), but will include the complete database for the two censuses, available for statistical analysis.
