Submissions are invited for a collection of new essays exploring the dark side of academic life: the denial of tenure and promotion, salary inequities, sexual harassment, exploitation of part-time employees, the publish or perish syndrome, time management issues, stress and burnout, workload expectations, administrative policies, etc. Personal stories are particularly sought. Essays should be a maximum of 4,500 words and should be accompanied by a current c.v. Previously published essays will not be considered. Deadline: February 1, 2001. Edited by Professor Denise D.
