“Beyond the Gaze” is a one-day conference for post-graduate students, to be held at the University of Essex. The second annual conference in what we hope will be an ongoing series, it is organized thematically in order to include papers on various regions and periods, as well as to encourage an interdisciplinary approach.
This year’s keynote speakers are Lyndal Roper (Royal Holloway, University of London) and Peter Gurney (University of Essex).
