Dwight T. Pitcaithley, Chief Historian of the National Park Service, will be speaking on recent controversies surrounding the public interpretation of Civil War Battlefields. The event will be held on Wednesday April 26, 2000 at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Campus Center 174-76, at 7:00 PM. It is free and open to the public.
