Barnard Feminist Art and Art History Conference
October 28-29, 2000,
at Barnard College in New York City
Submissions for individual papers, complete panels, and collaborative
workshops are welcome from artists, professionals and students on gender
issues in any aspect of visual culture (painting, sculpture, prints,
architecture, history, design, film, video, websites, photography, etc.). In
addition, proposals are sought for session(s) on the intersection of gender,
commerce, and visual culture. For example, these might investigate gender
in relation to issues such as patronage, advertising, consumption, the art
market, commercial space, or any other issues involving commerce. Each
individual paper should be 20 minutes long. Workshops and panels will have
90 minutes in total.
