Information is currently being collected for an updated edition of the Directory of American Scholars. First published in 1942, the Directory of American Scholars profiles more than 24,000 United States and Canadian scholars, currently active in teaching, research, and publishing. If you are a humanities or a social science scholar (Doctoral degree or equivalent; active in scholarly work; publishing scholarly works)and are interested in being listed, please send in your questionnaires or revision forms to the Gale Group. There is NO CHARGE for your listing. If you have already received your questionnaire/revision and have not yet filled it out and returned it to Gale Group before your specified deadline, please do so as soon as possible. Gale is currently accepting questionnaires/revisions beyond the deadline. If you are interested in being listed in the directory and have not recieved a questionnaire/revision, please contact the Gale Group at (800)347-4253 ext 2432.
